FRC Robot Chassis
thingiverse
This file represents a DXF of FRC Team 587's 2017 off-season project. We aimed to discover whether a single chassis plate could accommodate any of the four available 3 CIM shifting gear boxes offered through AndyMark and Vex Robotics. The answer is undoubtedly yes! In addition, the gearboxes are mounted pre-assembled, allowing for easy swapping by removing a few screws, disconnecting some wires, and dropping out the bottom of the bot. (We encountered output shaft failures last season, so we wanted to be prepared to replace them quickly if that issue arose again.) Do we really need that much power and speed? Probably not, but it's undeniably fun to have it at our disposal!
