This redesigned FRC drivetrain is a follow-up to our Version 2 prototype (FRC Octocanum Drive Module, Left). It remains untested. Key enhancements are adjustable chain tensioners, a sheet metal interface for chassis mounting, lighter weight, and additional encoder mounting holes in the "mecanum only" configuration. CAD models of both left and right versions are included. Notably, mecanum wheels are the sole left/right components; all other parts work for either side. The design files are available in SolidWorks 2014 and STEP formats, compatible with the 2015 Student Edition.
