FRC Drivetrain "Kicker Wheel"

In 2015, for the Recycle Rush FRC game, our team chose an omni-directional drive base to increase mobility on the field. As it was my role to create this mechanism, I sought inspiration from other teams. Most utilized pneumatic systems to raise and lower strafing omnis, but I opted for a design inspired by RoboWranglers' 2014 drivetrain, which employed a tipping method. This successful design was one of the few aspects we appreciated in our robot.
