FRC-5036-2019-Deep Space Robot

This is team 5036 2019 Robot for the game Deep Space. All the CAD was completed in AutoCAD inventor; various prototypes were built and tested in the shop to assure we built the most effective mechanism for the game. The Drivetrain is a AM14U3 kit bot chassis with a cutout at the front to help the Cargo(13 inch circumference ball) go through with ease. This robot has a cargo intake which springs back and forth on a piston. The intake has mecanum wheels to guide the ball toward the center and in the center has compliant wheels to guide the ball toward the conveyor. The conveyor system carries the ball upwards using a system of pulleys and belts. The intake is powered by a 775 and the conveyor through dual 775's. The hatch mechanism is a wheel mechanism that utilized 4 soft colson wheels to grab and to release the hatch through the hole in the middle of the hatch. The hatch mechanism goes back and forth on a linear slide system which is pushed using dual pistons. The hatch mechanism is powered using a 775 motor.
