This part replaces the standard shift pistons used with VEX 3-CIM ball-shifter gearboxes, fitting snugly into the low gear set where those pistons would normally go. It secures the gearboxes firmly in place, eliminating the need for pistons, solenoids, and tubing to keep them engaged. This simple modification saves valuable weight and complexity if your team chooses to limit itself to a single gear ratio. The design also accommodates encoder locations on the gearbox without any issues, requiring only a minimal adjustment to fit snugly in place.
