Frappe Maker for instant coffee
thingiverse
I was unable to find any decent Frappe maker here in the US, and the Greek Nescafe is expensive to import here. I'm using Trader Joe's instant coffee that seems to be very close to the taste. So I decided to build my own Frappe Maker as all the available ones I found here are weak and do not produce the result I wanted. Just a reminder, it might be a little hard to make frappe at 3am in the morning... Be careful not to make lots of mess... And hold the cup if not a heavy one... it might spin!!!! If you don't know the recipe for a great Frappe Coffee: - 3 spoons sugar - 1 and a half spoons instant coffee (Greek Nescafe, or Trader Joe's) - Fill water halfway, froth, and add milk to top it. To make my frother model, you are going to need an IKEA milk frother: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30301167/ Take it apart... Keep the metal frother part and throw away the rest... Get a better motor like this one: https://www.jameco.com/z/RC-260RA-2670-4-5-Volt-DC-Motor-1-58A-15-000-RPM_211246.html This is 10 times stronger and faster than the IKEA one! The 3D design is around its dimensions. The two screws on the front are only preventing the motor from spinning free in the enclosure, they do not screw on the motor. If the case is tight enough, you may even omit them. Also, you're going to need a 5V PSU with enough current to handle the motor current. 2.5A or 3A recommended. Additionally, install a switch and a power jack to easily plug in the power to the frappe maker.
