Franklin (the Inflatable lunar gantry)
grabcad
I have uploaded several versions as I update the model. The basic idea is to have a low pressure skin as the main project and then a higher pressure skeleton that would make up most of the structural strength. This would allow the skeleton to have a higher absolute as some of the relative would be lowered due to the pressure held by the skin. It would also allow mechanisms to operate in the skin free from abrasive lunar dust.Version 3: I have decided to name him Franklin as I came up with this rigid external shell that the legs can expand from like a turtle.version 4: added some solid points mid arms to mount cables and started cable layout.Version 5: modify skeletal couplings to pack better. attempt to show packing layout
