Frank (Frankenstein) Bust
cults3d
I'm working on a reimagined version of enginecogs' Frankenstein Bust. To give it a more rugged appearance, I've altered the proportions of the head several times. Additionally, I noticed that the neck bolts in the original design weren't symmetrical either individually or when viewed together. To achieve a more authentic look with no play, I removed the original bolts entirely and added a rod where you can attach actual metal bolts at a perfect angle. The model is designed to fit M8 neck bolts, but the hole is slightly tighter than that. You can either drill the hole larger or use a tap - possibly even screwing the bolts in place by heating them. For using smaller bolts, simply scale down the model. The base of the bust has been completely replaced to give it a heavier appearance and less of a chess-piece look. To better fit the new base, I've also rounded out the shoulders. Photos show a print at 62.5% scale with 0.1mm layer height, printed at 40mm/s using PETG and M5 bolts at 20% infill.
