Framing Clamp

Framing Clamp

thingiverse

A simple corner piece allows frame alignment during glue-up and facilitates the use of ratchet straps to apply clamping force. A notch has been added for easy and reliable measurement of diagonals to ensure accurate right angles. One version is designed for 90-degree angled pieces with normally faced-off wood, while another accommodates a 60-degree chamfer applied before gluing - a method that's generally discouraged but was necessary in this case. This corner piece can also be downloaded for Fusion 360, where the chamfer angle is defined in parameters to simplify adjustment: https://a360.co/2QPHufM Note: The gaps visible in the photos result from an incorrect miter gauge setting, not any issue with the corner piece.
