The measurement position of a wafer on an ellipsometer stage can be determined using a framed ruler. In our lab, the ellipsometer has a free-moving stage without any positional indicator. To align the laser beam to a specific point, we place the wafer next to the frame and move the other ruler beam until it's centered. We'd like to thank youmaginer jbeale for their contribution to this design. The original ruler was duplicated by extending its length, then aligned and cropped to fit within a frame. Two rulers were placed side-by-side in the frame, with another ruler printed separately as a sliding guide. Adding a sliding guide is possible but requires low printing speeds. Therefore, it's not included in the initial fast prototyping process.
