Frame Stiffener
thingiverse
A top frame stiffener with a 10mm alignment tooling is used to increase the stability of my i3 Pro B's acrylic frame. The goal was to determine whether this modification affects printing height while mainly reducing X axis frame wobble. To do this, measure from the top corner of the tooling to a fixed point on the frame and drill holes at 7 identical positions. This step must be repeated from the same position on the opposite side of the frame. M10 rods from an old i3 Pro B were used and cut to 325mm in length. The support brackets shown in the photo are positioned 25mm from the corner, which I do not recommend reducing below as it could interfere with the wiring holes.
