A cost effective way to make a round frame pool winter cover from 3D printed models, 40 mm ht pipes and a fitting tarp. The goal is to have a cover without sagging places where rain water can accumulate.

Its cheaper than pool pillows and similar commercial available solutions.

Our pool has a nominal diameter of 305 cm.

The PoolClampA and PoolClampB models are for the feet (25mm diameter) of the frame pool, to tie the tarp to for tension. These models should be printed in ASA because they are in direct sunlight. ASA is uv resistant.

Also needed per clamp:

two stainless steel M5 nuts

two stainless steel M5 bolts with at least 12 mm length.

For the other models the material type shouldn't matter as much because they are covered by the tarp.

The model PoolPipeJoint is under quiet a lot of tension. I recommend to use a larger number of perimeters, for example 5 or higher, to get a good layer adhesion and strength.

The ht pipes are widely available and cheap in hardware stores (Baumärkte) in Germany.
