Frame mod - Cine Mount for Micro Camera
cults3d
Designed and tested on a robust AMAX H125 frame, featuring 2.5-inch standoffs and M2 screws with 3mm diameter. The distance from the standoff to the screw is precisely set at 20mm. This design should also accommodate other frames with similar 3mm standoffs, allowing for easy modification in the slicer by simply lengthening the standoffs as needed. To secure the camera and hold the plates together, M2 screws are employed. The micro-sized camera measures 19x19mm, while the standoff provides additional support. In this setup, no mount or prop is visible. Instead, a Caddx Turtle camera with Turbo Eye technology offers an impressive 170° field of view. As for image distortion, I've achieved a clear and jello-free shot without relying on TPU materials. Nylon has proven effective, but ABS, PETG, or PLA can also be used to achieve similar results.
