Frame and 120mm Fan holder for installing MKS SKIPR in Twotrees Sapphire Plus SP-5
thingiverse
These parts allow you to install the MKS SKIPR control board in the Twotrees Sapphire Plus SP-5 printer with its cooling by a 120 mm low-profile fan. The frame for installing the MKS SKIPR board is installed instead of an L-shaped mount for the 40 mm cooling fan that used earlier for cooling the MKS Robin Nano board. For greater reliability, you can use double-sided adhesive tape glued around the perimeter of the frame. Four M3 threaded inserts are used to fasten the MKS SKIPR board to the frame using native M3 screws. The left and right 120mm fan holders are installed instead of the native metal frame that was previously used to mount the MKS Robin Nano board, and are fastened with native M3 screws. The fan is attached to the holders with self-tapping screws from its kit. If the fan blades are touching the bottom sheet of the printer housing making noise, additional self-tapping screws can be screwed into the holes in the fan frame to prevent the fan blades from touching the sheet. The tightening depth of the additional screws will need to be adjusted locally. It is also possible to place soft material between the sheet and the fan frame instead of screwing the self-tapping screws.
