Scanned with a laser fragment of an Iberian amphora found in Cabezo de Alcalá (Azaila, Teruel), courtesy of your colleague Ulyses.\nhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabezo_de_Alcal%C3%A1\nTo upload it to this profile (free option: maximum 50MB per model), I had to simplify the original 3 million polygons to 465K current ones, and it shows. Although I have "cooked" the normal fields from the original on the simplified model, precision is always lost: I swear that the pores of the ceramic are visible in the original.\nIn return, the model lacked texture. The orange color you see is a neutral addition (I didn't want to distract from the detailed geometry it has).\nHere we can see an example of the accuracy provided by laser scanning compared to photogrammetry, which Ulyses will verify by performing a photogrammetric survey of this piece and comparing both.
