Located in Athens, Votanikos boasts an ancient relic with only its upper portion intact - an upright maiden to the right, clasping a pyxis (storage chest). The now-dismantled pedimental crown's lintel still shows faint remnants of a once-vibrant inscription. Dating back to one of the earliest Classical-era Attic grave stelai, this masterpiece draws unmistakable inspiration from the iconic Parthenon frieze.
