myminifactory
The male head was a key component of an ancient stele dating back to around 325-300 BC. It formed part of Rodin's extensive collection of Greek art, which served as a rich source of inspiration for him. The scan was taken at the 'Rodin and the Art of Ancient Greece' exhibition held at The British Museum in London from April 26th to July 29th, 2018. The artifact originates from the Musée Rodin in Paris, where it remains on permanent display today.
