I utilized the outer frame for a spirograph design previously published by cisardom. However, I took it up several notches. In place of the spirograph gear wheel, I carefully preserved the ratios and achieved a mirror-in-mirror effect by scaling down the 96:60 teeth to repeat the gear wheel spinning formula within the very wheel itself. And if that wasn't enough, I did it yet another time. The smallest wheel is filled in with a hexagonal vertical hole pattern. Perhaps one could opt out of the fill pattern to repeat the concept once more. I have provided images of the essential steps of how I managed to design these gears with little professional experience in the 3D-modeling process. I have included all relevant frame parts (four files, six modules). I also have included not only one .stl file with all three gear wheels pre-arranged for easy printing, but each has been individually saved as its own .stl file to aid those who want to print in different colors who do not own a dual extruder and do not want to go through the trouble dividing the shells themselves. I highly encourage use of color schemes in future makes of this design. It holds great potential for those who want to experience the trippy visual effect, especially in the color department. Please enjoy and feel free to expand on this idea yourself! Personally, I used Amazonbasics PET-G filament with 30% infill. I printed at 0.2mm quality. It was printed on a Folgertech FT-5 R2.
