Fractal Wheel Bearing

Fractal Wheel Bearing

thingiverse

This is a revolutionary 3D printable bearing that shatters conventional manufacturing methods by using an entirely new approach to creating bearings without cages. The Fractal Wheel Bearing is a groundbreaking innovation resulting from cutting-edge research in the emerging science of fractal gear field theory, which seeks to redefine traditional engineering principles. Unlike the planetary fractal gears and bearing (available for download here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/planetary-fractal-gear-and-bearing), this unique bearing is specifically designed for applications requiring bearings without gearing. When printed with pro-flex airless tire filament, it can also function as an energy return wheel. To experience the Fractal Wheel Bearing in action, check out these demo videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFL_oGOGw9o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csSrh4hlTjA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifnpSHENA0Q When 3D printing this innovative design, it's essential to consider the optimal approach. Printing the entire assembly at once can be challenging due to support removal issues on most machines. To overcome this hurdle, I recommend using water-soluble supports or SLA printing. Alternatively, you can print the center hub, fractal gears, and outer shell in halves and then assemble them together, ensuring that the flats are sanded before gluing or welding. For FDM printing, it's crucial to have a large enough bed to accommodate the entire assembly without splitting it into separate parts. To facilitate disassembly and reassembly, either the center hub or the outer rim must be designed with fastenable halves. The inventor of this groundbreaking technology claims that it holds the key to replicating an ancient Egyptian pyramid using modern 3D printing techniques. The fractal gear forms, although complex in design, can be found in numerous natural forms, such as cactus plants, corals, sea urchins, and electromagnetic fields on ferrofluids. To unlock the full potential of this mechanism, a Fibonacci-based number system is required. The center hub measures 8x5, while the outer gears are 5x5, with six required to function properly. For example, using only five gears will not work. To delve deeper into the science behind fractal gear field theory, visit www.facebook.com/makeoilworthless.
