Fractal Snowflake Vase
myminifactory
The Koch Snowflake has been around for ages, predating the term "fractal" by quite some time. To create one is a breeze - simply start with an equilateral triangle and then add a smaller triangle to each side, taking up a third of the original's space, before repeating this process all over again until infinity beckons. The result? A shape with an area that's finite but a boundary that stretches on forever! Thankfully, we can only approximate it to a few iterations or our printers would be stuck in a never-ending loop. This intricate design has been mesmerizing kids for years, and I'm no exception. I recall writing code as a youngster to plot its curves on screen - just a handful of lines did the trick! Now, I've taken it to the next level with a real-life 3D printed version. It's truly awe-inspiring stuff. Maybe someday I'll tone down my excitement over 3D printing, but today isn't that day.
