Fractal Meshify C - Offset Front Cover
thingiverse
How's it going dudes, I designed a front cover for my Fractal Design Meshify-C PC case that is offset by 10mm to allow for fans to be placed in between the filter element and the front of the case. Figured id share. It'll stick out a bit more than usual but is still more-or-less flush with the edges of the case (pics1,2) The print has to be done in 2 sections then fused together. To do so, use mini zip-ties on the backside to align/hold (pic#8), from there you can super glue the seam, hold assembly flat until dry, then friction weld on top for that bit of extra hold (pic#9), from there attach the stock metal mesh by folding the tabs onto the aligned spots (pic#10, sorry I dont have more pics of the process, also dont keep bending the tabs of the mesh, they break easily, already lost 1 after a couple revisions) This was printed on a modified Ender 3 V2 with Inland (Microcenter) black PLA+, I forget the infill (I trust your judgement but id guesstimate 50%or75%), and there werent any supports (I hate them and will avoid if I can) Im bad at explaining stuff so if you have questions feel free to reach out. Im not the fastest to respond but ill try to help. Happy printing!
