This text describes a volumetric object, based on fractals and made from RAW data of 400x400x400, 8-bit dimensions that are zipped. It's rendered using PNG codec in AVI format with the same dimensions and also has isosurface meshes in PLY and STL formats with 2.4M polygons and 990K polygons respectively. The object is part of a series to showcase the differences between volumetric and polygonal representations of objects, with further information available at 40westdesigns.com/blog/?p=371 and in a post on Engineering.com here: http://www.engineering.com/3DPrinting/3DPrintingArticles/ArticleID/4523/2012-The-Beginning-of-the-End-for-Polygons.aspx
