A Custom Mount for High Capacity Hard Drives in Node 804 Mount a high capacity hard drive easily in the Node 804 by using this simple adapter designed to compensate for missing middle screws. The bracket's holes are intentionally spaced further apart than those on the HDD, which causes a slight bend and ensures most of the drive's weight is supported by the metal bracket. This extra support may or may not be necessary but it doesn't cause any harm. Most people won't need to worry about their drives reaching the glass transition temperature with adequate cooling, so PLA will work just fine for them. However, some drives do approach this temperature as an upper limit and inadequate cooling could be a problem. If you're unsure about your drive's temperature limitations, consider printing the adapter in ABS or PETG instead of PLA. Running at high temperatures can decrease the lifespan of your drives, so it's not recommended to do so.
