Fractal Design Node 304 Compatible SSD Mounting Frame
thingiverse
In the process of upgrading my storage server I got the need of mounting a couple of SSDs in addition to 4 3.5" HDD and a graphics card, which made impossible using the original cage, so after looking for inspiration, I decided to do this frame to place the drives closer to the front, to be able to mount them in the same line as the GPU. **Update**: the frame has been updated to **version 2** to fix some design defects in the first version: + the top piece was 2mm too big, so it is now 2mm shorter (the top screw hole was also adjusted accordingly) + the first line of screw holes were 3mm wide, which ended up being a little too tight; now they are 3.5mm in both pieces + the hdd screws in the top piece obstruct with the case cover, so a 5x0.5mm "depression" is added to better accomodate them I'll be testing these fixes in a week or so, hopefully they'll work better. **Update 2**: the top frame has been updated to **version 3** for some additional fixes to the design: + The drive separations were too close to the case case bar, so they were adjusted 2mm for a better fit. + Reduced 1mm the sides at the front part of the frame to allow the case cover to close. + Finally, the front mounting screw hole was adjusted 1mm to correctly align it with the case.
