Fractal bowl 1
thingiverse
This is a fractal bowl. As usual with objects of this type, it's a solid object that requires hollowing out by slicing software. The OBJ file you can download here is a lower resolution version, consisting of 1000x1000x500 voxels. I've also created a higher-resolution version, featuring 4000x4000x2000 voxels, but the OBJ file is quite large, measuring 3.5GB in its original form and 682MB when zipped. To access this larger file, you'll need to download it from my OneDrive account as a zip file. The bowl has been scaled to about 20cm in diameter and 5cm in height. Slicing this bowl requires significant memory resources. I used Slic3r PE from the command line, which is essential given that my current setup with 8GB RAM isn't sufficient for slicing this bowl through the GUI. To use the command line effectively, you should set all parameters in the GUI and save them as a parameter file. Then, run `slic3r --load <configfile> --print-center 125,105 bowl-1-1k-20x5cm_fixed.obj`. Make sure to adapt the `--print-center` setting according to your printer's specifications.
With this file you will be able to print Fractal bowl 1 with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Fractal bowl 1.
