Fractal Ball Pyramid with Captive Spheres

Fractal Ball Pyramid with Captive Spheres

thingiverse

This is a mind-bending 3D fractal inspired by the iconic 3D Sierpinski gasket. The intricate octahedral voids that make up the 3D Sierpinski gasket are cleverly filled with carefully arranged spheres in a recursive pattern. If this recursion were to go on forever, it would create the sharp edges of a perfect tetrahedron. You'll need to use support when printing this design because there are five trapped spheres inside that aren't connected to the main matrix of spheres.
