Frabjous Sculpture
thingiverse
The original work by George W. Hart can be found on his website, georgehart.com/sculpture/sculpture.html. Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories later remade the sculpture, which was then made and posted online by vrogy. The creator expresses admiration for Hart's work and appreciation for the simplified SVG file provided by vrogy. To construct the sculpture, the creator found it helpful to label a dodecahedron (inspired by explanations from Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories) and mark corresponding parts on the sculpture. A PDF of the labeled dodecahedron is available for download with additional instructions. The current version is taped together, but the creator plans to redesign it using wood and seeks suggestions for cleanly connecting the parts. Alternatively, the sculpture can be made using an exacto knife and changing the blade frequently, instead of laser cutting cardboard. The design includes 40 pieces, with extra pieces to compensate for potential errors, but this number may be reduced depending on material quality.
