This top plate offers two additional sets of battery strap slots to secure dual-battery configurations with a forward battery placed transversely and a second battery positioned slightly aft. The extra strap slots also enable better securing of extended battery packs that stretch along the frame's length. Cutting this piece in 3mm thick material adds about 2 grams, as opposed to using the standard 2.5mm thickness from stock.
