FR10 Quadcopter Frame
thingiverse
This frame is designed to be used with a long range 10" FPV quadcopter that features a dead cat configuration, which removes the propellers from view. The frame offers several key features. The frame's top deck provides ample space to fit large batteries, including a 5000mAh 6S 65C battery. Additionally, there are three separate stack mounting locations available, with options for both 30.5mm and 20mm configurations. The rear plate of the frame is customizable, offering two different designs: one with holes to accommodate Project 399 Super-G FC gummies and another without holes. This allows users to choose the configuration that best suits their needs. Furthermore, the frame is designed to fit APD 100/120A ESCs, providing extra protection against overhang. The motor mounting holes on the frame are compatible with 35xx motors, such as the Brother Hobby T5. The side-load GoPro Session mount is also integrated into the design, featuring a TBS Jello Guard insert for added stability and protection. Updates were made to the frame's design on June 10th, 2019. Two new plate designs were added: "FR10_front_plate_V2" and "FR10_rear_plate_V2_TPN_no_gummies". The latter uses three press nuts (TPN) per arm instead of two press nuts and one lock nut, providing additional support and stability. The frame's plates are designed to be made from different thicknesses of material. The arms are 7mm thick, while the front plate, rear plate, and top plate are 3mm, 3mm, and 2-3mm thick, respectively. Hardware requirements for building the frame include: * For the airframe: M3x18 round standoff x6, M3x28 round standoff x4, M3x16 button head x12, M3x18 button head x6, M3x8 button head x14, and M3 press nuts x12. * For the GoPro mount: M3x30 round standoff x2, M5x10 round standoff x2, M3x6 button head x4, M3x8 button head x8, and M2x5 cap head x2. * For the motors: M3x10 button head x16. The 3D printed components used in this frame are identical to those found on the FR7 frame, with the exception of the rear GPS mount, which has been reduced in height by 1mm. The motor mount dimensions are also compatible with TPU motor guards designed for the StandInQuadDesigns Hildagard.
