FPV250 Quadcopter Landing Gear Extended
thingiverse
This is an upgraded version of the FPV250 landing gear designed with extended functionality. The longer design makes it perfect for users of the "Low Hung" variant FPV250LH where the fuselage sits low on vibration isolation. It offers a lot more clearance. I used SketchUp to create this modification (the model file is included), extending the leg part upwards and maintaining the same mount configuration. You can easily replicate this in any other 3D modeling tool to achieve your desired height, but keep in mind that longer designs require stronger support struts. For even better performance, widening the bottom profile is necessary, as I noticed during printing that horizontal motion could cause it to break when landing at an angle. This was just a rapid initial response for those needing longer gear quickly. However, a more suitable approach would be to replace traditional legs with a helicopter-style skid. This would also enable battery mounting underneath, giving enough clearance for 6-inch props on the FPV250 while maintaining flight stability.
