Here's a custom vertical mount for my tricopters' 1.3ghz transmitter used for FPV flight. Check out the designs I post, and let me know if you like this mount. (*UPDATE 10mm Booms. Make sure to download the correct size.) I added a 10mm Carbon boom mount, which I highly recommend securing with sticky tape at the back to prevent it from sliding off. Have any of these mounts broken during crashes? Two tail booms have snapped while using this mount, but fortunately no stress marks were left on the plastic; just bent antennas. Post up some photos of the designs you've created. Instructions My tricopter uses a ReadyMadeRC's 1.3GHz 300mW transmitter, and this mount is specifically designed for 1/2 inch booms. I printed the design with support material at a 30% infill rate. The final weight comes out to be around 8 grams. You will need three small zipties and a file to complete the assembly. Clean off all the excess support material, grab your file, and smooth out the inside of the pocket until the transmitter fits snugly. Avoid using the lower ear as it's not designed for this purpose without the boom in place. Once the transmitter is fitted, use one ziptie on top slot to secure it from sliding out. Next, two more zipties go into the bottom slots - these should be inserted from the front side. Finally, slide onto a 1/2 inch boom and tighten all the zipties securely.
