It's finally here. Version 2.0 of the FPV-Rover is live. This is the second major version of the FPV-Rover, available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1240754. This one features a powerful 540 motor, which was requested by many users in the previous version and required a complete redesign of the rover's internal components, even though its sleek appearance remains unchanged. Intructions and BOM can be found on Instructables at https://www.instructables.com/id/FPV-Rover-V20. All upgrades from V1 are fully compatible with this new version. For example, you can use the rubber gun upgrade (available on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1269962), trailer upgrade (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1700138), GoPro mount upgrade (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1936491), or Superfly851's grabatron upgrade (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1979227). Last Update: March 27, 2020. The FPV-Rover is entering a new era with this major update. To make it more efficient, we've redesigned many parts to save material and reduce print time. We've also minimized the need for support structures in these parts. Some of the key changes include: - Reduced material usage in the main body. - A smaller camera cutout in the main body. - Enhanced ventilation holes in the inner frames to prevent overheating. - Increased space by cutting a hole in the inner frame. - Decreased material usage in the outer frame. - The ability to attach external modifications to the outer frame, paving the way for new projects. - A bevel gear with a 4:1 ratio, in addition to the existing 2:1 ratio, has been added to reduce motor overheating and increase torque. - A new ESC mount design has also been implemented.
