FPV racing frame A244
thingiverse
I present my version of a frame for FPV racing enthusiasts. The A244 is a durable and lightweight frame, easy to print and assemble with precision. Weighing in at only 100 grams, it features all nylon screws, aluminum spacers, and a camera mount that can be installed in just 5 minutes using a screwdriver. The frame requires: * 12 M3 nylon screws or aluminum or steel equivalents * 6 M3 37mm aluminum spacers (compatible with Diatone 37mm frames, available on sites like Hobbyking, Banggood, and Aliexpress) * 1 M3 screw and bolt to secure the camera holder with a camera pin To achieve optimal results, I recommend printing with 2-3 thick layers and an infill of 25-30%. This project is currently in its testing phase, but I will provide regular updates on performance metrics. Here's my recommended setup: * Flight Controller: Naze 32 SP racing F3 (20 dollars from Banggood) * Motors: DYS BE1806 2300kv (four motors at 8 dollars each from Banggood or Aliexpress) * Propellers: 5040 KingKong (five dollars for twenty pairs from Banggood) * ESCs: DYS 16Amps (four ESCs at 8 dollars each from Banggood or Aliexpress) * Battery: 4S 1800mAh (20 dollars from Hobbyking) * FPV System: ccd camera and 200mw transmitter with Fatshark antennas (45 dollars for the entire system plus 55 dollars for Eachine goggles from Banggood, or Quantum V2 from Hobbyking) The total cost of the quad without the FPV system is approximately 110 dollars, while the complete setup with FPV system and goggles costs around 200 dollars. **News Update:** A revised version (Rev.2) has been added, featuring improvements such as: * Lighter design * Stronger structure * Motor axis holes for better stability * Camera FPV support designed to hold even larger cameras (up to 40x40mm) This project is now considered complete and finalized. **Video Demo:** Watch the quad in action here: https://youtu.be/YeFcycpyzKU The A244 frame provides a stable and rigid platform for FPV racing, making it easy to tune and achieve optimal performance. **Print Settings:** * Printer: EVO by NicolaP. * Rafts: None * Supports: None * Resolution: 0.2mm * Infill: 25/30% * Notes: + Infill pattern: Rectangular or Full Honeycomb + Post-Printing recommendations:
