FPV Racer 250mm

Both my V4 design and FlorentF31's original Sigan 180 quad are fantastic designs, but I had to make some tweaks and scaling adjustments to fit them into my printer's build volume. Since I wanted to use 22XX motors, I needed a more modular design. Update June 23, 2016 After another test landing (crash), I realized that the motor mounts were a bit weak without the support of the top casing. So, I added two new files with power struts around the motor mounts and down the arm, which not only added strength but also served as landing skids - a win-win situation! Try flying it out now. New files: ~V5_Rear_arms.stl ~V5_Front_arms.stl Electronics Kit Under $100 I've put together a complete parts kit that includes everything you need to get this in the air, except for a RX receiver. It's perfect for training quads and can be flown both indoors and outdoors. Sub-Assembly List: As comprehensive as possible ~Aluminium hex spacers (5.5mm versions), print 17 of them ~M3x6mm allen cap head screws, print 50 of these to hold the case together and mount the motors ~M3x8mm allen cap head screws, print 4 for the camera assembly ~M3 aluminium washers, use if you like but don't add any to the motor mounts or the top 4 screws on the case (those are sunk for a reason) ~M2 nuts and screws, print 4 of each for mounting LEDs to legs', 2 extra screws for the auto tilt gimbal ~XT60 connector, print 1 off ~Skylight LED boards, print 2 in any color you prefer for the front legs ~OSDoge stacked on PDB, not FC ~Matek PDB ~FPV VTX mounting section (optional) ~FPV antenna mounting point Update March 30, 2016 Moved design to V4, included all V3 files in a zip folder and moved case join points for better rigidity. Design Changes: ~Single arm pieces integrate with bottom plate ~Case removed from around motors to allow grip when tightening props ~Thicker top and bottom plates add more rigidity and reduce overall weight Update March 15, 2016 Added a remixed ZMR tilt gimbal for tower pro SG90 servo and changed the camera holder slightly. Design Changes: ~FPV top plate with cut-out for lens ~Left and right side supports no longer need a 5mm aluminium spacer ~Hex insert space in top for 3mm nut while bottom allows M3x8mm cap head screw Suggestions Welcomed! Print Settings: Printer Brand: CEL Printer: Robox Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: Normal (0.20) Infill: 30% Notes: Print supports on and flip items over, especially the main case and V3 TOP option 1. Use rafts if printing in ABS.
