FPV LCD Screen Adaptor (Screen-to-GoPro Attachment)
thingiverse
I am thrilled with the potential of 3D printing; I recently finished my second design! I utilized Google Sketchup for various purposes, including visualizing house dimensions and renovations. Now, I'm creating custom parts for my RC helicopter hobby using this software. Recently, I got into First Person View (FPV) flying and wanted to modify my controller to accommodate an LCD screen. Since my controller is unique and finances are limited, I couldn't find a suitable mount online. To solve this problem, I combined the original LCD mount with a car windscreen suction mount and added a GoPro attachment for easy clicking into place on my RC controller. I printed my design using a Rostock Max delta printer on 3DHubs.com with PLA at a "medium" print setting. I offer two designs: one without holes (more expensive to print) and another with holes to reduce material usage. The hole version is untested, so please give it a try! Some edges required sanding for proper clicking, but measurements were accurate. If the design doesn't fit perfectly, don't worry; adjustments might be necessary due to varying printers. Splitting the component into two parts and gluing them together may improve print quality. I'm new to 3D printing, so experimentation is key! This design is unique, so feel free to make modifications and share your results with me.
