This is my first 3D print creation, designed to hone my Fusion 360 skills. Ideally, it will help keep my camera cleaner from grass and other debris, while also giving it a sleeker appearance compared to the titanium cage, which I must admit is incredibly beautiful. The new design provides a canvas for experimenting with different color schemes and decals. It's a direct replacement for the titanium cage, with the lens opening set at my preferred freestyle angle of 30 degrees - the same as the HD cam mounting plate that will still accommodate a GoPro mount or protective cover. If you'd like, you can modify the part to accept different angles. The finished part printed in PLA weighs 16 grams, whereas the titanium parts weigh a total of 26 grams on my kitchen scales. As an added bonus, this quick fix allows me to continue flying even if I'm waiting for replacement titanium parts to arrive. 27-Apr - The part has been updated to include threaded holes. 11-May - Version 4 was added, featuring a few more curves. 14-Jun - Version 5 was introduced, allowing FPV camera angles between 25 and 45 degrees. 15-Jun - Version 6 was released, including a battery racing fairing.
