FPV Ground Station Build Plate
thingiverse
I'm building a base to hold my FPV Diversity Receiver and DC to DC Buck converter. So, what's going on here? Well, the XT60 plug connected to a 3s battery feeds into the buck converter, which is also powering the receiver. That's why there are two sets of wires on the input side of the buck converter. The output of the buck converter is attached to the DVR (which I adjusted to 5.0 volts beforehand). The video output from the receiver has a story too - the RCA cord was cut, but the shielding was reattached and the core coming out of the receiver was soldered to the video-in of the DVR. Meanwhile, the other core of the RCA cable (going to goggles or a screen) was soldered to the DVR's video-out. Here are some links to the components I used: Receiver: Crazypony - $50 on Amazon Buck Converter: Pack of 6 - $12 on Amazon DVR for recording and injecting into my video feed: $25 on Amazon You'll need to find some short screws to hold the buck converter in place. M2.5 x 5 work just fine. I designed this thing using Tinkercad, and you can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/hsdy6eQLQeW.
