FPV Gates for Whoops and Micros (customizable)
thingiverse
The attached STLs are for a hexagonal gate with 6x corner pieces and wooden strips measuring 10x5mm in dimensions. The length of the sticks varies, and I settled on 170mm as my preferred length after trying out different options. I use magnets with a diameter of 17mm and a height of 3mm, which fit perfectly into the STLs attached. You can use any magnet size you prefer, simply adjusting the measurements in the customizer to match your needs. Two Magnet mounts will securely hold the gate in place, while one might not provide enough stability against movement on impact. In the customizer, you can adjust the number of corners for your polygon and the dimensions of the wooden sticks used. I recommend printing these parts with flexible filament to increase their durability and ensure a snug fit without the need for glue. The wooden sticks were initially coated with white spray paint as a base coat before being finished off with different neon-colored sprays, making them highly visible in the FPV feed. To-Do List: * Capture video footage of the gates in action * Develop Zip Tie mounting option * Create String Mounts Shopping List: * Round magnets (20mmx3mm) - available at banggood.com * Wooden sticks * White base coat spray paint * Neon spray paint
