FPV Camera Mount for helicopter landing gear
thingiverse
Mounting a generic FPV camera on your RC helicopter just got a whole lot easier without any modifications needed. You can use this simple device on a wide range of models, like the popular Blade 230. To secure the camera, simply push it into the designated hole and tighten an M2 bolt with a screw (usually included with the camera). Next, remove the front of your landing gear by unscrewing it, then insert the mount's board between the landing gear and the aircraft frame before refastening the gear in place. The pressure from the landing gear should hold everything firmly, but for extra security, apply some hot glue if needed. With this setup, your camera will have a slight 20-degree tilt downwards, which works perfectly with wide-angle lenses to give you excellent visibility below. However, keep in mind that this does limit your field of view when flying at high angles of attack, so if speed is your goal, consider finding an alternative mount that allows the camera to face forwards or slightly upwards instead.
