FPV cam mount for china quadcopter X525-V3
thingiverse
This is my first-ever design! I created it with Autodesk 123D Design for my brand new 3D printer, so maybe it's not flawless, but it worked beautifully - probably because I'll make a final version later. The design was crafted specifically for my X525-V3 China-made quadcopter frame and a regular CMOS camera. It can easily be modified to suit other frames. My camera is a high-quality DAL 700TVL with 1/4'' CMOS that provides crystal-clear images. Please refer to the instructions below for further details about the design. Keep in mind that I've used older pics of the drone, so this design should fit even better than what you see here. I kindly ask you if you choose to improve or recreate this design to please add me as a reference, and who knows? You might just get to my next creation! Now, let's dive into the instructions for a seamless build: The first thing I did was tie down four zip ties to hold the camera in place - and these holes were a must (be sure to check out the picture I've attached so you can see what I'm talking about). With those zip ties securely holding everything together, a simple screw will firmly keep the entire cam mount stable. All you need is the pre-drilled hole of the X525 frame. Now comes the delicate part: remove the stand-offs from the front (if they're even there). Unfortunately, this design needs a bit of tweaking and rework before it fits properly - which mostly depends on your perspective - but once that's done, it all falls into place nicely.
