FPV Antenna tracker for heavier antennas (2.4Ghz and 1.3Ghz)
thingiverse
This tracker is designed to handle a heavier load than my previous model, the 5.8Ghz tracker. It's built with gearing in mind. The tracker can also be used as a base for mounting a camera to capture aerial footage of an airplane in flight. Here are the necessary parts aside from the 16 custom-made items: - Eagle Tree Eagle Eyes ground station - Eagle Tree power panel. - 30 mm inside diameter Ball race - 30 mm inside diameter thrust bearing with washers - Two 5K, 10-turn potentiometers - Two standard servos - Various M3 machine screws in sizes 5mm, 10mm and 15mm - An M5 machine screw each 15mm long - A second M5 machine screw that's 20mm long. For instructions on how to build the tracker, you can refer to this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/XWubeGI7OT8 Print Settings: Rafts are optional; I skipped using them. Supports aren't necessary. Resolution should be set at .2. I set infill to 20% for a better look. If you decide to print the tracker, feel free to use PLA. However, for optimal results, consider printing it with ABS plastic, which might handle the gearing a bit better.
