FPV Antenna Jig

Really useful jig helps secure soldering of 5.8GHz Cloverleaf FPV antennas accurately and easily. All components are held securely in place, making it simple to fine-tune the position of the lobes. To assemble the jig, follow these steps: 1. Insert the coax cable from the bottom and tighten the three lower bolts firmly, ensuring centering without damaging the cable. 2. Place one lobe under a washer and loosely tighten the bolt just enough to hold it in place. 3. Push the lobe towards the coax outer part and tilt it onto the 45-degree support. 4. Tighten the bolt to secure the lobe but avoid over-tightening due to plastic limitations. 5. Bend the top of the lobe into position, ensuring contact with the inner coax part or near proximity. 6. Repeat steps for all lobes and solder using a fine-tipped iron. 7. Upload photos to makerspaces and share your experience. Required materials include 6 M3 hex bolts and 3 M3 washers. This jig is designed for 0.8mm wire but can accommodate wires with diameters ranging from 0.6 to 1.0mm. Future plans involve adding skew planar jigs (4 lobes) for expanded capabilities.
