FPP Debonair Pinhole

FPP Debonair Pinhole

This is a custom-made pinhole shutter for the FPP Debonair film camera. It mounts using existing holes from the original shutter/lens housing, requiring only one modification - removing the plastic ledge on the top right corner. A pair of sharp flush trim cutters makes quick work of this task. Two M3 button head bolts and nuts are used to secure it in place; 16mm long but 12mm would suffice. I also added a tripod mount since the Debonair lacks one, attaching it to the underside of the body with glue. To offset the weight of the camera on flat surfaces, I made a magnet holder using a local Walmart magnet - not strong enough to hold its own weight, but useful nonetheless for adding mass to the otherwise light plastic body. For those who find the shutter too loose, gaffer tape can be applied to the top and sides to control friction. With this setup, the focal length is 32mm; using a no2 needle tip resulted in a roughly 0.24mm hole, yielding an f133 f-stop and a wide 86 degrees of view.
