The FP-45 Liberator is a compact pistol manufactured in large quantities by the US military during World War II to aid resistance movements operating in occupied territories. Designed to fall into enemy hands with ease, this non-lethal firearm was intentionally never issued to Allied troops. There are no known cases of the gun being used by the intended recipient forces; its purpose was shrouded in secrecy and documentation due to the danger of capture. Despite an enormous production run, very few Liberator pistols reached their destinations, and most remaining weapons were systematically destroyed after the war ended.
