When performing air spring maintenance on a Fox fork, Fox requires a specific tool, part number 398-00-657. This particular tool is known as a Bullet, Sealhead To Shaft, FLOAT NA 2. It can be extremely difficult to locate, even for professionals who work in bike retail. Fortunately, 3D printing offers a viable solution. This tool fits 10mm shafts on air spring shafts and enables the installation of the negative spring plate with new O-rings. After printing, it is essential to sand the bullet surface to make the installation process smoother. Additionally, applying a quick coat of Slick Honey or your preferred assembly grease will also be helpful. As of January 14, 2020, I have managed to create a model for the 8mm bullet tool, which corresponds to Fox part number 398-00-320. Although I do not possess a fork to test this tool with, I was able to obtain key dimensions from a reliable online photo of the Fox tool and utilized Fusion360 to recreate it.
