Fox / Coyote Caller
thingiverse
This is a functional Fox/Coyote caller with one key component missing: the membrane. You can utilize or experiment with some plastic or pet bottle, cutting out a small piece as a substitute for the membrane. Experiment with different thicknesses to achieve various tones. The original membrane measures 45mm long and 6mm wide at its tip, gradually widening to around 9-10mm at its base where it's secured by the membrane holder. For distinct tonescales, use thin plastic ranging from 0.3 to 0.6mm in thickness - a personal preference. This model was printed using an AnyCubic printer with resin; if you're working with ABS plastic on a regular printer, you might need to make some adjustments for easier assembly. I've uploaded the CAD files so you can modify the pipe as needed. If tight fittings between the head and pipes are an issue, simply glue them together - it's not a significant problem, as long as the pipe remains airtight. The pipe was designed in 123D Design.
