Fox Beswick 1017 scan
thingiverse
This is a scan of a stunning pottery fox designed by Arthur Gredington while working for Beswick. It first hit the market in 1945. I captured this image some time back but wasn't certain about its copyright status. I think it's now out of copyright since it has been mass produced and was created more than 25 years ago, though I'm no lawyer. Interestingly, the law shifted in 2020, which means it might enter copyright again, but there's no undo on the internet, so I don't really grasp what this means for this scan. UPDATE: Several articles indicate that the clause related to reduced protection for mass produced artworks was repealed on July 28th, 2016, and it is now against the law in the UK and possibly other EU countries to "make" this.
