Fox 40 Chamfer-less Socket
thingiverse
I'm working with a special socket designed to remove the spring side of my 2016 Fox 40 Fit. This tool also fits perfectly on the right-hand side of my Fox 36 Talas. To use it, I simply attach a standard 3/8 square driver to my wrench and get to work. When it comes time to print this socket in Inventor, I need to make sure that I'm rotating the model correctly in order to avoid any supports. This is still a bit of a learning curve for me, as I'm just starting out with Inventor. Here are the settings I use when printing my sockets: I work with a MakerGear M2 printer, and I've found that it produces great results at a resolution of 100 microns. To minimize waste, I print without rafts or supports. My infill density is set to 80%, which gives me the right balance between weight and print time.
