Fowler Flap V1

Fowler Flap V1

thingiverse

This is my initial design concept for a Fowler Flap system tailored specifically for RC aviation applications. The primary objective behind this design is to create a flap that extends the trailing edge of an aircraft wing outward and then downward, effectively increasing the wing's surface area and generating significant drag to facilitate a safe landing. By incorporating this innovative feature into your RC plane, you'll be able to elevate its performance to new heights. The connecting rods used in this design are crafted from high-strength 2mm O.D. aluminum tubing, while the brass components can be sourced from old nails, pins, or precision .81mm brass rods - a cost-effective and efficient solution for builders. I welcome any feedback or suggestions for improvement to further refine and optimize this design.
