Section of carved outcrop on Fowberry Park, near Wooler, Northumberland. This is one of nine carvings recorded on the same stretch of outcropping in the Fowberry Park area, with five clustered together. Extensive quarrying has taken place along the same area of outcropping to the west. The design is quite unusual and consists of two slightly kinked lines of small cups running north to south, with cups at either end closing a rectangle. A number of cups sit outside the line at the south. It's noticeable that the cups on the western line are slightly larger. Recorded as Fowberry Mains/Fowberry Park b on the Beckensall Archive and ERA. ERA / BA record: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=194 Historic England listing: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1006537 A model was created in September 2019, from four stereo pairs captured by Kevin Malloy during NADRAP recording in March 2007. Imagery forms part of the NADRAP / ERA archive.
